About Tom
Tom O'Hanlon is a storyteller who can engage your audience and bring your story to life. Over the years, he has enjoyed working in commercials, narration, promotional campaigns, imaging, live radio, and more.
He got his start in radio as a news anchor and on-air personality at WFUV in New York, and later became the News Director of WFAS AM & FM in Westchester County. Later, Tom made his way to 30 Rock to join the NBC Radio network and went on became a producer and writer in the television division of NBC News at WNBC-TV and The Today Show. To date, Tom is a three-time Emmy nominated television news producer, and winner of multiple Telly, Communicator, and Videographer Awards.
Over the years, Tom has anchored national network newscasts, has been heard on hundreds of radio stations across the country, and is currently Chair of the Journalism and Media Studies department at Lehman College / City University of New York. Tom also appears regularly on WCBS NewsRadio 880 in New York, where he has maintained an on-air presence since 2001.
In his free time, Tom enjoys traveling the world with his wife and their two sons, cruising estate sales for vinyl to expand his home music library, and collecting antique radios. Some of the radios he's acquired date back to the 1930s and 1940s!
